Women's Workout Suggestions for Buns and Thighs

By Johnny Blue

One of the most challenging areas for women to get to look the way they want is the thighs and buns but it is possible with the right techniques and consistent effort. Finding a routine that works your lower body in as many ways as possible will give you the best results as opposed to just repeating one exercise over and over. To help you tone your buns and thighs, use the following bodybuilding exercise tips.

To effectively work out the front part of your thighs, try doing lunges. You can increase the challenge of this exercise by adding weights. Your feet should be about shoulder width apart to start this exercise. If you want to use weights, hold a dumbbell in each hand. Inhale as you step forward in a long stride with one leg while keeping your back straight. Slowly bend your knee while shifting your weight to your front leg. The rear knee bends as well, dropping in a straight line towards the floor, but be sure to only go as low as you can without straining. Use the front leg to push up and back into the starting position, exhaling as you do so. Work on increasing the number of reps you can do and always do the same number of reps with each leg. If you dislike demanding exercise, or if you can't do it on account of a health issue, you can still acquire a useful lower body workout by walking. If you want to burn fat and work on your legs, thighs and buns, you have to walk fast and preferably for an hour per workout.

An additional strategy for increasing the power of your workout is to walk uphill. At the gym, you can do this easily by walking on a treadmill with an incline characteristic. A sudden incline will cause your legs to work and also offer you a fabulous cardio workout which is still low impact as opposed to jogging or running.

You can provide yourself a total lower body workout which focuses on your thighs and buns by using fitness bands, which some individuals refer to as resistance bands. These are simple, portable and relatively inexpensive exercise tools and you are like having the best exercise bike that you can buy at a sporting goods store or online, and that allow you to work every part of your body. You can do seated leg extensions, thigh abductions, stretches and an array of other exercises which you would otherwise need to go to the gym for.

With a fitness band, you can do your workout wherever, and you can work any muscle group you yearn in just a few minutes. It will take consistent effort to tone your thighs and buns. You also need to watch your diet to make sure you're not eating foods that will sabotage your efforts in addition to your consistent workouts. Use the above tips to create a consistent workout and you will be able to tone your thighs and buns.
