When bodybuilding, you should know that adding dietary fat to your daily diet is important for success. Essential nutrients, like essential fatty acids, have been discussed in bodybuilding circles. The body is not capable of producing these nutrients and therefore they are referred to as essential. The body needs these essential nutrients and therefore they must be found in some form. Even though you typically only hear about omega 3, 6, and 9, there are actually 8 known essential fatty acids. Each of these components are used in various roles in your body for many functions important for bodybuilding.

As you may know, bodybuilders place high demands upon themselves when they do high intensity training. Bodybuilders, in particular, should be concerned about these issues, something that the average person will not be. For example, a bodybuilder who has been at it for a while will actually benefit from more dietary fat. Our quality of life is, in part, dependent upon our joint health which should be important to everyone, not just bodybuilders. Strengthening your bones, especially if you do a considerable amount weight training, is important when you are working out.

Because they train harder, bodybuilders have more comprehensive dietary needs. So the best approach is to make sure you are eating the healthiest fats in the correct ratios to everything else in your diet. When you do that you will discover that in time there will be optimal fat loss along with muscle gain.
