What You Need To Understand About Free Radicals And Antioxidants

Perhaps you have wondered why lots of health experts say make sure you eat produce (fruits or vegetables) on a regular basis? When this occurs a lot, it could lead to critical illnesses. A lot of free radicals could be a source of countless health problems such as arthritis, cancer, heart disease and bad cholesterol.

Just how does one neutralize free radicals?

You need antioxidants in order to neutralize free radicals. It is essential that you saturate your body with enough antioxidants. This means you need to consume antioxidants everyday.

Vegetables and fruit such as bell pepper, broccoli, strawberry, kiwi, papaya and spinach make the perfect source for antioxidants. It is because these foods have a lot of vitamins C and E.

Is there a different source of antioxidants besides vitamins C and E?

Doctors are saying Epigallocatechin or commonly known as EGCG is a more powerful source of antioxidant compared to vitamins E and C. Many experts agree that EGCG is 25 times more effective than Vitamin E and 100 times more effective than Vitamin C in eliminating free radicals.

Green tea is the best source of EGCG. A cup of green tea provides about 100mg of EGCG. Including green tea to your nutrition daily is a great idea to enhance the overall intake of antioxidants.

So if you're like many People in America. If you have never been able keep up with eating adequate antioxidants on a daily basis, consider taking green tea supplements.
