How to Select the Right Sit Stand Double Stroller for You

By Aj Jensen

Choosing the right stroller for you and your children is a big a project. There are a lot different features, makes and models. The prices are in the hundreds of dollars so it is important to pick one that meets your needs. Choosing the wrong stroller is a nightmare but choosing the right one can make life so much easier.

Single strollers are fairly common so let's take a more detailed look at double strollers. Choosing the right double stroller is pretty difficult with all the different styles, structures, and features. We really hope we can make the choice easier.

It is not always possible to find a perfect double stroller, but some are better than others. What makes a stroller "best" for you will probably come down to one of the following features: the storage basket, child snack tray, harness system, storage tray for adults, reclining chair for children, canopy, cost, weight, size, or fold-ability. Some features will be more important to you than others. For example maybe you don't really care if your baby can recline but you do want space for your shopping bags.

Double strollers come in many different types. Let's take a look.

If you run or walk a lot you might want a jogger. Joggers are sometimes harder to turn but the large wheels make for a nearly bump free ride.

If you have twins or want your kids to sit next to each other, you might consider a side-by-side. However, these strollers are wide and difficult to navigate in close quarters.

The tandem stroller is narrow and can navigate tight spaces. Sometimes the front seat blocks the view of the back seat.

If you want both your children to have the same features, then you should consider a twin stroller.

If you have children of different ages, a sit and stand double stroller is a life saver. It is for a younger child and an older child who may want to sit or stand.
