But then if all evidence indicates that the problem lies with the method that has been chosen then the doctor may need to be visited. The correct remedy will then be made by him or her.

Some women also complain of their breasts being tender, swollen or painful to the touch. This is experienced soon after one has been fitted. To some, they get worse especially when they are ovulating. In as much as it may not be too serious, if this continues something could be wrong. Some who have had the IUD inserted report of a change in weight. Most of the time there is a significant increase in the weight of an individual who uses this method. The number currently stands at about five percent of all the users. When this occurs, a person should consider taking a more healthy diet, avoid the intake of extra calories and work out more often.

Other women also experience a decrease in the desire to have sexual intercourse. This may greatly be as a result of being conscious of having a foreign object in the body. It may be a psychological thing. After some time however, the feeling may subside. If it becomes an issue however, then it may be time to think of an alternative.

To some, constant headaches can be experienced. It is therefore important to first find out whether it is caused by the method or not. This is because headaches are associated with many other ailments. The frequency at which the headaches are experienced before and after the method being used was started should be used to determine whether it is the cause.

Whenever a person suspects that some signs of Mirena side effects are present, it is important to seek the attention of a doctor. One should go to the one who made the insertion if possible. After careful consideration the right choices may be made to correct the situation.
