Breastfeeding toddlers could be fun and sometimes not too fun when it comes to breastfeeding.
It's completely normal to breastfeed your toddler, just in case you were wondering. You'd be amazed to know the number of moms which are still breastfeeding toddlers.
A lot!
Although in Western society, it's not necessarily accepted as the norm.
The breast may be sexualized so much to the point where if people you nursing your kids, they are disgusted.
That's las vegas dui attorney don't see as many moms breastfeeding toddlers in public places. Which is a shame.
Some of the fun parts of have breastfeeding toddlers are:
* Seeing how happy they're when they get to nurse. There exists obviously something else happening here besides just getting nutrition. There exists some type of bonding that's happening and today your toddler can express his gratitude as good as he could being a baby.
Sometimes when my breastfeeding toddlers (I've had 3) asks to nurse (according to him "I wanna nur nur"), when I say okay and start preparing myself to pick out them up to nurse, they start jumping around in circles dancing and singing to show how happy these are!
* Watching them twist and switch their body in different positions to experience while still nursing. Even though this can be irritating when you just want them to nurse and turn into done. The fun part is seeing them try to reach something or play or turn their scalp to look at something or watch T.V., all while still holding the nipple within their mouth. Can they reach it? It kind of turns into a game! Breastfeeding Toddlers Need You!
Stay at home with Them a Little Longer
* Holding a discussion with them while nursing. It is possible to already barely understand your kids as it is, but they don't care, they'll still hold a discussion with you with the nipple within their mouth. "Say one". "Hello". It's so funny!
* It is possible to tell them to wait to nurse if you're not ready. Your infant is willing to wait until you receive done doing what you're doing, particularly if distract him with something more important.
* They say they're done nursing. Sometimes when my son is completed nursing he'll say "done" or "nah" and after that pulls my shirt down to cover my breast.
* Having the capacity to easily comfort them when they're afraid, collapse, or hurt themselves. Of course a hug will perform, but a breastfeeding toddler has got the ultimate comfort whenever a mom breastfeeds him through these times.
You're comforting him in a way that only you can, something they've become used to and familiar with since the beginning. Not to mention being able to still nourish him when he's sick and doesn't want whatever else to eat.
* When they become picky with all the breast. It's funny after i offer my son one breast to nurse on and the man insist on taking the other one instead. What's so excellent about the other one when this occurs in time, I have little idea! And of course there are times when you wished your kids just didn't want to nurse only at that particular time.
Fundamental essentials not so fun when breastfeeding toddlers:
* When they get aggressive if you say no, not right this moment. Especially when you're in public. Sometimes breastfeeding toddlers will just come and pull your breast out, so when you say you don't need to nurse right now, they are able to get very aggressive to the point of hitting you and falling out in clumps crying.
If you don't want to nurse your toddler in public places, you have to know their reactions and learn how to deal with them in the home before you go out, that way you'll have more control over the situation when you're overseas.
* Sometimes having to reteach the fundamentals of latching on. Fundamental essentials times when they latch on and you feel something sharp in your breast, which actually is their teeth.
Which happened only because they're an experienced guitarist at breastfeeding now, so they don't need to open their mouth wide anymore to acheive the whole thing in, which hurts you! This is the time you have to tell them to allow go and open their mouth wide this time.
* The looks and comments you're going to get from strangers and in all likelihood relatives (including spouse). Should you thought you received negative looks and comments if you were breastfeeding your baby, try breastfeeding a toddler in front of everyone. You won't hear get rid of it from your relatives!
Among my cousins nursed her daughter until she was 4 . Today, everyone in the family still calls her "titty baby", and she's 13 years old!
And if your spouse is like your toddler is "too old" to become still nursing, you will get "dirty" looks in your own home.
After i started weaning my first son when he was two years old, my partner was right there to ensure it happened. I could to explain to him that it was a gradual process, as he wanted the child to stop nursing the moment he turned two!
They got on our son a lot about nursing which i just started secretly nursing him as he wasn't around.
I know, horrible. But which was the only way I could get it done without hearing his mouth over it.
As you can see, Breastfeeding Toddlers aren't So Sad.
They have got their moments the same as everyone else, and can be fun and entertaining in many ways than As you can tell, breastfeeding toddlers one.
So if you have got doubts about breastfeeding toddlers, give it a try! You might have more fun than you imagined!
